A Neighborhood to Consider

One of the great things about Portland is that every time you turn around another part of the city is seeing development.

Alberta, Division and Mississippi have all gone from undiscovered parts of the city to desirable districts. People who bought early found great houses at great values, and were rewarded with shopping, dining and nightlife options right out their front door.

The trick is to identify what the next area to pop is.  Where will Carrie and Fred and the rest of the Portlandia crew be filming next? Right now it looks like Interstate Avenue might be that spot. There’s a great article in the Daily Journal of Commerce about development on

The Paul Bunyan statue on the corner of Interstate and Denver adds character to the Interstate area

Interstate. Sara King, neighborhood development manager at the Portland Development Commission-one of the city groups that really helps to spur economic development- is quoted as saying it’s Interstate’s “time.”

Interstate has a lot going for it.  It’s an established neighborhood, which means that instead of new cookie-cutter houses it has that

old architectural charm that Portland is known for. It’s right on the MAX line. There already are established businesses, including Adidas’ North American headquarters, Kaiser and The University of Portland.

We have several listings near Interstate right now, with more coming on the market every day. If you want to find out more give me a call.
